1524 – General Members Meeting

Please be advised that our next scheduled General Meeting is set for the 24^th March 2020 in Toronto. The details are listed below. This meeting is open to all CGAO Members.

1525 – Charity Cheque Presentation – Dates

As we kick off 2020, the Media Events or Cheque Presentations are starting to be placed into the schedule. These are excellent local opportunities to promote the unique gaming platform we provide. Please see the events & dates listed below. 

            28^th January - Delta Gaming Centre (Sudbury) celebrating $C30.0m raised for Charities.

            21^st February - Delta Gaming Centre (Pickering) celebrating $C13.2m raised for Charities

            28^th February - Delta Gaming Centre (Barrie) celebrating $C16.0m raised for Charities. 

These events are co-ordinated by our colleagues at the OCGA and fully supported by the CGAO and OLG cGaming Team.

1526 – Conferences

There are three conferences occurring in the next few months that we wish to bring to your attention.

            ICE Conference – London (UK)                - 4^th to 6^th February 2020 

            New Horizons – Vancouver (BC)              - 10^th to 12^th March 2020

            Discovery – Toronto (ONT)                       - 14^th to 16^th April 2020

The CGAO will have representation at each of the above conferences. We also encourage our members to attend these broader industry events.

1527 – PlaySmart – Building The Culture

We continue to encourage all members to build on their Social Responsibility (RG) Culture in their own Centres/Business. Within our sector we have seen strong engagement and alignment to Responsible Play. It is important that we collectively continue to support and build on the foundation we have fostered over the last few years.

We see globally that this area of the business is evolving and we need to maintain a clear focus and commitment to the area. Our Chair & President has consistently directed us to undertake a balanced and measured approach to bring the sector along.

1528 – People On The Move

It has been announced from the Chief Operating Officer (Ms. Lori Sullivan) that, with the departure of Mr. Rick Gray (Vice President, cGaming OLG), Mr. David Fraser will undertake an interim position as Senior Director – cGaming while the OLG undertakes a broader organizational review of the Corporation.

I am sure you will join me in wishing David every success in this Interim, which is an important role in the OLG. Well Done David.
