1507 – Business Advisory Appointment

We have recently engaged Mr. Stuart Walker (Gaming Advisory Services) to undertake the position of Advisor – Business Development. Stuart is replacing the vacancy that was created with the recent departure of Mr. Nav Sandhawalia. Stuart has had a long history in the Leisure and Entertainment sector and recently held a senior position at the OLG, heading up the Gaming Centres/Site prior to their modernization initiative. 

In the coming weeks you will likely be in direct contact with Stuart in the areas of the E&Y Gap Analysis, GMS and BMS Initiatives. He can be contacted directly on:

1508 – Regional Transition Process - Completed

As we ended July 2019, this brought the Regional Transitional process to a close. We have now completed the transition to the amended Service Agreement for all 30 [CGAO] Centres.

This has been a remarkable achievement for all those engaged in the process. The Regional approach was, and has been proven to be, the best route to ensure a measured and controlled transition that balanced the needs of Commercial Operators and our Vendors in meeting the deadlines and product requirement.

I wanted to thank and acknowledge all those who made this transition possible (Commercial Operators, Vendors, Suppliers, ACGO and OLG cGaming).

1509 – Golf Day 2019 - Postponed

Our Golf Day has been postponed this year due the high volume of work that our members are currently engaged in. The Chair & President has agreed that this should be moved to our regular time in June 2020.

1511 – G2E (Las Vegas) Conference

The 2019 G2E Conference, which is held in Las Vegas, is due to be held on 14^th & 17^th October 2019 in the Las Vegas Convention Centre.

This is always a good conference to attend as you generally see the emerging trends within Retail Gaming. Our Chair and Vice Chair will lead a CGAO Group to visit the Vendors Floor on the Tuesday of the show. This is open for any CGAO Member to join us.
