1359 – Belleville New Casino Opens
It was announced on the 11th January 2017 that Great Canadian Gaming, in conjunction with the OLG, opened a new gaming facility in eastern Ontario. This is the first new casino facility that has opened since 2006.
It will offer a range of casino like product that will be balanced with both entertainment and dining options. The Shoreline Casino will also open a new and interactive Play-Smart lounge to support its broader informational/educational approach to the Responsible Gaming initiative.
We wish Great Canadian Gaming and OLG every success with this new venture. |

1360 – Community Media Events - c-Gaming
The c-Gaming partners continue to host community media events within our centres and community to profile and highlight the tremendous contributions that our centres provide to numerous community/non-profit groups that are aligned to our centres.
This continues decades of direct funding to our community groups and municipalities. This initiative is led by our colleagues at the OCGA and supported by OLG c-Gaming Team. All partners can be extremely proud of the contribution that this initiative is bringing to 26 host communities of a c-Gaming Centre, which currently runs at around $C130m real dollars and climbing.

1361 – 150th Canadian Celebration - 2017
This year we will see the country celebrate the 150th year since the creation of Canada. This is a tremendous opportunity to leverage this ‘theme’ to promote and raise awareness for the c- Gaming initiative among the public at large.
It is encouraging to see the Delta Gaming Group already making a connection to the ‘150’ with various promotional initiatives already scheduled and underway. If you have not already made plans, I would greatly encourage you to speak with our fellow members who have a deep and rich history in promotional initiatives (Arrow Games (Canada)) and leverage their knowledge and experience.
Arrow Games (Canada) – Contact Details
On a provincial level, during the course of the year it is estimated that c-Gaming will hit the $C150m mark of contributions to community/non-profit groups. We, CGAO, will be working closely with our colleagues at the OCGA & OLG to undertake a provincial celebration/ presentation of this remarkable achievement. |

1363 – Arrow Games (Canada) - Taptix
As you will now be aware, Arrow Games (Canada) is deploying their Taptix Units into centres/companies that agreed for them to be deployed. Although each company is receiving three (3) units, it is a tremendous opportunity for Arrow Games to gauge the interaction from the consumers direct.
The view of the CGAO is that this is an important deployment for us to gauge the consumer reaction to the various initiatives they have made since the initial test in Oakville & Newmarket. Full credit to the on the ground Arrow Games Team who have worked extremely hard to support this initiative. |
